This is a thought-provoking well written short story with an incredibly powerful and moving message. It left me reeling from its power. It's incredible how much story is packed into this small package.
The well rounded characters in this story, make it a pleasure to read. This story points out the problems of modern day living and the way people deal with them. It touches on issues that any one of us could face. This story made me think about how I would react... Well worth a read!
Let me tell you, I was not expecting so much from so little, but V.C. Remus really packed the WOW into this short story. As the others have said, this really makes you stop and think.
This story was well written and paced just right. It was to the point, as a short story should be, but it never felt rushed. You will feel an almost instant connection with the characters within a few pages which made for a very pleasurable read. It's a fun story that will cause one to sit back and think about the real world. I'm definitely hoping to see more short stories from V.C. Remus!
Vagrant Anne is a finely crafted story that makes you question your day to day relationships and interactions. In a world where we are conditioned to turn a blind eye to those in need, Vagrant Anne brings to light the need for compassion in a less than compassionate world. The end is disturbing enough to make one self aware the next time they encounter a stranger. Good read!
Vagrant Anne is a well-crafted short story about Marcus Weber, manager of a local gas station and convenience store. He has an issue with rage that he is trying to manage, but his patience is daily tried by Vagrant Anne, a homeless woman who camps outside his store and plays a type of flute.
While most of his customers seem fine with Anne, Marcus tries to find a resolution to getting rid of her.
This is a morality tale told in a thoughtful manner. I enjoyed it very much and would like to read more of this type of story from Mr. Remus.
An interesting twist on our relationships with people. Makes you wonder if perhaps you should reevaluate your own relationships.
